Soulforce's latest resource, What The Science Says - And Doesn't Say - About Homosexuality, is now available. Many people are curious about what current, reputable social-science research indicates about lesbian women, gay men, and their families. For The Bible Tells Me So - Documentary Featuring Soulforce Now Showing
Winner of the Audience Award for Best Documentary at the Seattle International Film Festival, Dan Karslake's provocative, entertaining documentary, For The Bible Tells Me So, brilliantly reconciles homosexuality and Biblical scripture, and in the process reveals that Church-sanctioned anti-gay bias is based almost solely upon a significant (and often malicious) misinterpretation of the Bible.
Through the experiences of five very normal, very Christian, very American families -- including those of former House Majority Leader Richard Gephardt and Episcopalian Bishop Gene Robinson -- we discover how insightful people of faith handle the realization of having a gay child. Informed by such respected voices as Bishop Desmond Tutu, Harvard's Peter Gomes, Orthodox Rabbi Steve Greenberg, Soulforce's Rev. Dr. Mel White, and Rev. Jimmy Creech, For The Bible Tells Me So offers healing, clarity and understanding to anyone caught in the crosshairs of scripture and sexual identity.
Sign the Petition Concerning Bishop Robinson's Exclusion
According to the May 23, 2007, New York Times, Rowan Williams, the Archbishop of Canterbury, has decided to exclude Gene Robinson, the openly gay Episcopal bishop of New Hampshire, from the Lambeth Conference, an important 2008 gathering of Anglican Bishops in London.
Join Soulforce in calling for the Archbishop of Canterbury to Stop Segregating Bishop Robinson and invite him to the once-a-decade Lambeth Conference in 2008.
