American Family Outing Application
Thank you for your interest in applying for the visit to dialogue with Bishop T.D. Jakes and the congregation at The Potter's House in Dallas, Texas during May 16 - May 18, 2008.
Same-gender couples with or without children, supportive straight families, single-parent families, and single individuals who want to participate with a member of their extended family (parent, uncle, aunt, bother, sister, etc) may apply. Since The Potter's House is a multicultural church with a predominantly black congregation, we are especially seeking families of color and multiracial families. Each family unit must:
- Apply using the form below (please answer the questions as thoroughly as possible).
- Attend a brief training in nonviolence prior to our visit to The Potter's House. The training will be held the same week-end as our visit and in the Dallas area. The exact date, time, and location of the training will be emailed to you once your application has been reviewed and approved. The official hotel for the weekend will also be emailed to each approved applicant.
- Sign the Soulforce Pledge to Nonviolence at the local training. Each member of your family will place a copy of the signed pledge in their name-badge holder during the meetings with the congregation at The Potter's House.
