American Family Outing

Right to Marry
Soulforce, with the support of Empire State Pride Agenda and Vassar College’s ACTOUT!, kicked off the Right to Marry campaign in 2007 in New York State with thirty five students and young activists from across the country. In 2008, the campaign returned to New York and expanded to Arizona.

Catholic Actions
Soulforce has been working with the Roman Catholic Church since XXXX. Our most recent event was at the Mission of the Holy See to the United Nations in New York City after the Catholic Church refused to sign on to a joint statement calling for the decriminalization of homosexuality and condemning capital punishment against homosexuality.
Representatives from Soulforce met with the staff of the mission and eventually the Archbishop to the United Nations. Later, the Holy See issued its own statement against the criminalization of homosexuality. Our work for full inclusion continues.
