Jeff Lutes, MS, LPC
Jeff Lutes, MS, LPC, is a licensed psychotherapist in Austin, Texas, with a private practice specializing in couples and family therapy. During the past seventeen years, he has supervised over one hundred therapists and directed several inpatient and outpatient psychiatric-treatment programs in a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals and nonprofit counseling centers.
Jeff has written numerous newspaper columns on issues facing same-gender couples and families, and presents relationship workshops based on the current social-science research. He is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA), the American Association of Pastoral Counselors (AAPC), and the Council on Contemporary Families (CCF). He is a lay worship leader in his church, coordinator of the Soulforce Austin local group, and serves on the Board of Directors for the national Soulforce organization.
Recently, Jeff authored a new Soulforce resource, entitled "A False Focus on My Family", and produced the open letter video "Dear Dr. Dobson" which will be shown on April 30, 2005 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Jeff and his partner, Gary Stein, are the proud parents of an 8 year old son.
