Jeff Lutes, M.S., L.P.C., is a licensed professional counselor in Austin, Texas, with a private practice offering individual, relationship, and group psychotherapy. Since 1988, he has supervised over one hundred therapists and directed several inpatient and outpatient psychiatric-treatment programs in a variety of clinical settings, including hospitals and nonprofit counseling centers. His clinical expertise is in helping couples to improve the quality of their relationships, and for those with children, the effectiveness of their parenting skills.

Jeff has written numerous newspaper columns on issues facing same-gender couples and families, and presents relationship workshops based on the current social-science research. He is a member of the American Counseling Association (ACA) the Council on Contemporary Families (CCF), Counselors for Social Justice, and the Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Issies in Counseling.
