Great things happening. I am a member of a small PFLAG chapter in Rocky Mount NC and it was great to hear this man step out with Faith In America then I ran accross this article..

This is a hard area and it would be great if we had resources like him to assist in our efforts to educate our communities.

We are out in our area and work on events to educate as well as giving support where needed and advocate for the civil rights GLTB people are denied.

Our chapter pushes forward knowing a lot of small groups that are commited can make a difference over time.

Much to Love and equality for all. It does not really matter with the gender state you have but what you can do to contribute positively on the community.

I appreciate your works and efforts to stop the violence against the homosexual community. it is much needed in todays society. I am not a part of Lou Engles ministry so i do not speak for him or for the ministry. But i am a firsthand witness to his message. You may have heard sound bites from his messages and put your own context to them. But the reality is he is believing for the Love of God to be poured out in a massive way upon the homosexuals. Whatever Bill the Ugandans are trying to pass that insights violence upon criminals is on their own hands and up to their own conscience. Lou Engle has never encouraged violence in any way. I love the message of Lou Engle. He is non-violent (period)! Over the years I have been in many meetings private and corporate. The only thing violent about his heart is a passion for all to know the love of Jesus.

It was a gift to be a student of Rev. Egerston for a short
time as a Catholic and new employee at a Lutheran school. He was
engaging, inspiring, and I think of him often and fondly. His
family and friends will be in my prayers.

To the family of Paul Egertson: I'm so sorry for your deep loss. Paul was certainly a friend of Soulforce, and he led in ways that only he could. I'm so glad to have worked with him, and I send my sympathy. He will be missed.

Paul was one of three men on the last Committee I faced
before graduating from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in
1983. The other two men attempted to pick apart my theology with
numerous questions about the above the neck paper I had worked
very hard on for the occasion. When it was Pauls turn, he leaned
forward in his seat, looked directly into my eyes and said, I only
have one question. Have you ever been hurt? That simple question
from this kind, gentle and compassionate teacher made me cry. He
then said, Thats all I wanted to know. I graduated, was later
ordained, and currently serve as the Designated Leader for Open
Door, A Progressive Christian Community, in Frazier Park, CA. Paul
was not only a teacher, mentor, friend and confidant, he was
instrumental in helping me find a name for our Open Door effort.
He was a great human being.
