Soulforce Seeking Individual and Business Sponsors for Our Upcoming Resource Titled "What the Science Says - and Doesn't Say - About Homosexuality"
Help print and distribute copies of What the Science Says - and Doesn't Say - About Homosexuality, a new booklet by Soulforce Executive Director and psychotherapist, Jeff Lutes. This new resource will serve as a companion piece to Mel White's What the Bible Says - and Doesn't Say - About Homosexuality.
All contributions are much appreciated. A donation of $250 or more will qualify for having your name or business name listed inside the booklet as a sponsor when it goes to press.
Here are some early quotes about this exciting new resource from Soulforce:
"This is a current, comprehensive, and rigorous review of literature taken from our most well-respected social science and medical journals. Backed by all the major health, education, and mental health professional associations, Lutes makes an airtight case for ending the cruel and pejorative stereotype against gay and lesbian persons that continue to persist in our homes, institutions, and churches."
--Marsha McDonough, PhD, Psychologist and Family Therapist, Clinical Member of the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy
"A concise, accurate, and readable summary of scientific knowledge about homosexuality and gay people. This lucid resource calmly and effectively demolishes the hateful myths and slurs spread by anti-gay forces in U.S. society."
--Simon LeVay, PhD, neuroscientist, teacher, author, and pioneer in the study of brain structure and sexual orientation

"Rise Above is about opening your eyes and reaching out to those who oppose you. In working with Soulforce, I have found them to be a very knowledgeable, respectful, and compassionate group of people who are committed to their cause in ending religion-based discrimination. While some might see my video as anti-Christian or anti-religion, it is neither. It is meant to show the divisive effects of casting judgment on others, while creating the possibility of appreciation and understanding. Soulforce promotes this understanding through their non-violent tactics, and I'm proud to be supporting them in their efforts." --James Roy |
