From what I heard, they caught a serial killer and an accomplice, but there is still one running loose (the "Baseline" dude is still loose, if I heard correctly.)
But yes, I JUST found out a couple hours ago that they caught the serial shooter who had been operating right in my part of town, and just in time before I started having big anxiety problems.
His last 2 victims were only 3 blocks from my home, in opposite directions. Turns out he lived about 3 blocks from us. :(
I have been waking up at 4 in the morning unable to get back to sleep, scared from dreams that the serial killer was right outside the house. I am VERY glad to hear they apprehended him, finally.

Wow Zerbie, it MUST be a relief that they caught those men. That would really turn the neighborhood inside out, not to mention your emotions!
Hopefully the trial and all will go forward with justice prevailing...

It was great to hear the news and a little strange to watch our town on a news conference on MSNBC.
Since I've been out of town a couple of times this summer and I don't usually watch too much local news anyway, I wasn't as caught up in the fear like many people were--mainly because I just didn't know and hadn't heard about all the town meetings and so forth.
I am curious as to the motive of these guys. I wonder if it was some sort of sick competition since there were two, and they were friends.
Hopefully the skillful police will be able to catch the final predator soon.

Hey Beth, I hear ya. I wasn't following this either, although I'd heard about it, until they started happening literally around the corner from my house. That's when I started thinking about it.
I haven't heard anything about a motive either.

I am so glad that you are both safe and okay. I don't watch much news, so didn't know that was going on in your neck of the woods. I am glad for your relief. And grateful that you were both safe.
