I'm a Jesus lover, and wanted to apologize for Christians that have mistreated you all. Although I do admit I can't endorse your sexual ideas, we can still talk.

Talk about what, John? Are you honestly seeking to create an open, loving relationship with people here?
That's why I asked you to specify your "position" first. It seemed clear to me that you were here to argue, judge and condemn... not have a genuine, authentic conversation.
Am I mistaken?

From looking at your website, you do seem to have a very fear-based belief system. It is my experience that very often, fear does prevent any love from getting into a person's life. Can you not be afraid of us? I do not believe that anyone here wants to harm you in any way.
And I do not believe that we are here to discuss our sex lives with you. We can only hope to share some common ground, and reduce any misunderstanding or hostility.

John
I'm not sure what your motive is here, but just to try and understand where we as LGBT people stand - for someone who isn't LGBT, it can be a difficult thing to wrap their mind around. No one would expect a person who isn't LGBT to really understand how it feels or what it's like to live our lives. If you truly want to get a grasp of it, just read through these forums, there has been much discussion in the past and there are a ton of stories, experiences, information etc that has been openly shared on the SF forums. As a lesbian, I do not expect you to understand what my life has been like, or what my journey has encompasssed. You haven't been through it, you don't know anything about me, you don't know who I am, and I certainly wouldn't expect you to understand. I think that would go for anyone here. If you really are looking to gain an understanding, please take your time and read what we have posted. It's all over here, throughout all forums. It will take some time, but would be a great start to figuring this out for yourself.
We don't need anyone's endorsement, we don't need anyone's approval. See, it's OUR own thing. It's an individual thing. You definitely don't need my endorsement or approval of your heterosexuality (if indeed you are hetero). That is your thing. Everyone here is pretty much open to communicating even with those who don't share our opinions and beliefs. But when a person uses condescending tone and insinuates condemnation (and the like), that person should expect some defensive fire, and that fire can get nasty.
If you really are open minded in your quest to have questions answered, you will fit in here and get your information. But if the real motive is to condemn and invite discord, it's probably not going to be a good experience for you, and it won't be for a lot of us. Have an open mind and open heart, honestly seeking dialogue and answers, and don't be condemning with the information you receive, and things should go well.
I hope you are being honest and forthright in coming here. One thing most of us don't take too kindly to is being deceived and used when we are trying to be kind and honest. Good luck.

Accusations will get you nowhere John. Now, if your stated motives are honest - go read thru the forums, read it all, then come back and we'll talk.
Did you read anything we posted? I really hope you are honestly looking for answers. Asking questions is a good way to get some answers. Accusing will get you defensive retorts.
So what questions do you have?
