I just wanted to let all of you know, that I have secured an apartment for myself, and for my daughter when I have her with me. It is spacious, full of natural light, I can bring two of my cats, it is one block from a city park, and only five minutes from my University. It has injected a hopeful attitude into my life once again. Hoping to be in by early October. Think we could pull off a 3D housewarming?!?! Love you all, Vanessa:love: :love: :love: :love: :love: :love: :love: :love: :love:

That is fantastic news!!! I'm sure it is a relief to know where your new home is, and it's wonderful that it is so close to everything.

I know this must be a difficult transition, and I will keep you in my prayers. But you also sound very hopeful, and I am so glad for you for that reason.

Blessings....:love: :love: :love: :pray:

Oh I'm so glad you're about to have your own space! Having a place to call yours is so important, especially when there is turmoil going on in some realm of life.

I agree, it sounds like a convenient location. Happy decorating. And of course ya can invite your local SF friends over for a house-warming get-together, so it starts off real cozy.

Best of luck to you, Vanessa. :love:

(I may be going a little emoticon crazy :eek: , here.)

It sounds wonderful. I hope that it all works out with you.

Thanks for all of the kind words of support, but of course, I would have expected nothing less from this great group. If I ever win the lottery, I will fly all of my SF friends in to celebrate the newest chapter with you all in person! Keltic and I are not close enough to do any mutual, 3D celebrating, but Daniel is less than two hours from where I live in NE PA. I feel almost amazed at how less frantic I feel, just knowing that I will once again have a home that feels safe, emotionally, to be me again. Thanks again everyone! Sweet dreams!!!! Love and peace, Vanessa :love: :love: :love: :love: :love: :love:

May your windows look on all with grace,
The sun shine kindly in;
Your door greet many travelers
And send them out as friends;
The floor be gentle on your feet,
The walls regard your peace;
Your beds be filled with healing rest,
Your rooms with love be blessed.:love:

And here's some flowers...:flower: :flower: :flower:

:cowboy: [Yup! He's wigglin' he toes in glee again! :lol: Hooray for the new smileycons! Thanks!!!]

:applause:Absolutely - one of the greatest inspirations. I can't tell you all how much Vanessa (yes, you) has inspired me in my life. :flower2: Great role models - and friends - are hard to come by.

Housewarming in October? OoOoOo!! Just in time for pumpkins and Thanksgiving! OH! And those adorable trick or treaters... perfect.

A massive 3-D SF-Forum meeting would be beyond words. I often wonder what you all look like in 3-D....

Again, for all of the kind words, the cookie, the flowers, the inspiration- for those of you that I get to actually see regularly in 3D, a BIG hug in person is in order the next time I see you. The rest of you, kisses and hugs through the web will have to do. May many blessings heap upon all of you. Have a peaceful day. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox Vanessa:love:

I ran into a former coworker yesterday, who informed me that my new apartment is considered to be in "The Hood"- the Lesbian Hood. I guess it is becoming quite populus with lesbians there. I assume that I will fit right in- (wait a minute- I'm a lesbian?!?!? Yikes!!!!!) :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Vanessa! that is excellent :tup: congrats to you! we could be at each others' housewarming parties if the state would put in a highway that starts in the SW corner and goes straight to the NE corner! btw, I was prolly close to you last night on the way home from PTown. We hit Port Jervis headed for I-81 past Scranton and Wilkes-Barre then on down to Carlisle to pick up the turnpike. we got home around 12:30-1am

I may have even been out and about when you went by. Interstate 84 is only about fifteen minutes from my house!! I hope that you two had an awesome time. When that cross corner highway gets installed, I am THERE! Thanks for the love, I appreciate it. I will keep everyone posted on the updates. PEace out, V.:love: :love: :love:

Thanks, Tdogg- the flowers and birds are abundant, and the park has plenty of picnic areas and even a small zoo. My daughter loves the park, so that is a plus. :love:

I didn't even know that Scranton HAD a Lesbian Hood! Wow...

Ditto of course on the offer to help move in and let us know when the housewarming party has a date set.

I'm really happy that it's working out so well! I bet your daughter's going to be the envy of all her friends with a home near the park!

That I am in my new home, and it is definitely a home. I had several friends, including Mia, helping me on Saturday through the physical and emotional tasks of moving. Now, I am settled in, pretty much unpacked, and enjoying the peace and serenity. I am amazed at how little of that I have had in the last few months.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of my beautiful, loving friends here throughout this entire process. You all helped me through some pretty trying days and nights, and I will NEVER forget that support that you gave me. I have not been able to hang around here much, although I have missed it and hope to get back consistently soon!!! My life has turned the corner and I am beginning again. My daughter loves the place and is content. All is right with the world. Peace and love to you all, my friends. Vanessa :love: :love: :love: :love: :love: :love: :love: :love: :love: :love:

I've been so busy too, I haven't been here much. I miss everyone.

and it's a gorgeous apartment! Very, very big, too! Literally a block away from a large park.

Vanessa, as soon as you're ready there's got to be a huge housewarming party so we can all have an excuse to visit and bring little gifts!

So glad to hear you are moved in and getting settled. Haven't been around much myself, life has been busy with little computer time! It sounds like you are truly 'home' and your daughter feels the same way. I'm really happy for you both. Enjoy because you deserve it!

Love and peace back at you girl :love: :love: :love: :love: :love:
