Hello to everyone. I am so delighted to be a part of this group of courageous people who support the message of non-violent resistence.
I am a 37 year-old African American male from Dallas, Texas. I am in covenant with my lifetime companion and domestic partner, Neil Martin. We've been together for 9 years in November. And, I must add, I am cherishing those years and praying for more wonderful years to come.
I am a minister. In 1999, I founded the Church of the Full Covenant (COFC). In 2000, we opened our first church in Dallas, TX called Living Faith COFC. In 2004, we combined the two organizations to create the Living Faith Covenant Church. I am also a member of The Fellowship, an association of churches, ministries and ordained clergy under the leadership of Bishop Yvette A. Flunder.
Recently and in my soul, I have declared war against oppression. I am so concerned about the way the country is moving towards Theocracy, as described in Mel White's book. I am committed to speaking the message of liberty and empowerment. Both of which I find in my relationship with God through Jesus Christ, guided by the Holy Spirit.
So... that's me in a nutshell. :D
