If someone would please explain to me, in detailed instructions, as to how to take a pic, resize that pic to your rigid requirements, & use it as an avatar, I'd appreciate it. Did it once before, but not getting it now.

Britt (and anyone wanting to upload an avatar),

You can do this in your User CP or here is the direct link: www.soulforce.org/forums/profile.php?do=editavatar

If you have image editing software, you should make your avatar 80 pixels by 80 pixels. It also needs to be less than 20KB.

If you do not have image editing software, I think you can use an online tool such as www.shrinkpictures.com/create-avatar/ Remember to set the size to 80.

If you don't want to use your own picture, you can google free avatars (http://www.google.com/search?q=free+avatars).

In addition to avatars, you can also have a profile picture. These can be larger, up to 80KB. The direct link is www.soulforce.org/forums/profile.php?do=editprofilepic

PS, GIMP is a fantastic image editor that is totally free. Basically, almost everything Photoshop can do, GIMP does for no money. :D

Using it to resize an avatar is like the proverbial sledgehammer on a mosquito, but it does work (with your choice of linear or cubic interpolation ;) ).

Thanks Zerbie & Jennifer. The old one was going out of date, since my hair is no longer that short. This one is from Labor Day weekend in Dallas.
