Hello JinianVictoria and welcome.

I don't know if there are others involved in city government on the forums, but Mel White recently met with out Sheriff Lupe Valdez in Texas.

I've got my favorite out LGBT public officials. There's the fire chief here in Madison--a short, feisty, Native American, lesbian named Debra Amesqua.

And, of course, we are represented in Congress by the first out lesbian elected (and re-elected) to the House of Representatives--Tammy Baldwin.

Do you know that there has been an organized annual conference of LGBT elected officials (or there used to be.) You should try to hook up with that group.

There are LOTS of GLBT public officials down here in Minneapolis, where I live, but none of them frequent this website. I used to date Lynn, who spent her first 23 years as Allen, so I have some idea of what your life is about. I'm not any kind of government official, so all I can do is offer you my welcome, and suggest that you visit the cities when you can, as there are lots of LGBT folk, of ALL kinds down here.

Best Wishes, Bruce Chris
