Hello my name is...
Woodswalker. I was actually looking for a gaming forum, and this is what came up on Google...
So I opened the link, and realized that this was the same group that came to my school last year. I am a sophomore at Liberty University.
So I am here because I am interested in your point of view. I will be honest- I don't agree with you. But I will keep my arguments to myself. I promise that I am polite and friendly, despite being a "christian fundamentalist." ;)

Woodswalker,
Welcome to the Soulforce forums. You will find the people who frequent this forum very non-judgemental.
If you want to understand the gay Christian perspective, I would recommend reading "Stranger at the Gate" by Mel White. It was a book that was eye-opening to me. I had always thought everyone was convinced that being Christian and gay were incompatible opposites. Also for a quick read Mel White's downloadable pamphlet on the Bible and homosexuality is a brief and well-written statement of basic Biblical teaching as it regards homosexuality. (It is on the Soulforce homepage, I think.)
Let us know what you think.

When I had time, I used to play Starcraft, Warcraft, Civilization, Pirates, The Sims, Half-Life, and Homeworld, all on the PC. I haven't owned a console since the old Nintendo.

Welcome Woodswalker.
Just curious myself: what interests you about our point of view?

Gracias, Pablo. If I ever get some free time to read, I will try to find either the book or the pamphlet.
Yes! Good games, Jamie. I have never owned a console. I love my computer and I do everything I can on it, fun stuff and schoolwork.
Daniel, I have never known any gay, lesbian, bi, or transgender people. When all the information about them that I get is secondhand, (and from people who REALLY disagree with you) it is easy to stereotype. Which is something I very much try to avoid.
So what interests me most about your point of view is that I haven't heard much of it before. At least not from you.

Oh - wow - Woodswalker - I really admire you having the interest to reach out and listen, well:p - read - what some gay people have to say on this topic, especially since to your knowledge you haven't met any such people.
Nothing is so black & white as to be all one viewpoint. Those of us who post on here sometimes disagree quite actively from one another. Like any other large group of people, there are many viewpoints. What we love about this forum is that we are able to retain our heartfelt respect for one another. Speaking for myself, I have grown to love those frequent posters who have been regularly posting here in the almost-year since the forum was founded. It's their love and their friendship that I treasure, because even more than the many views that get aired and shared here, that's what matters most.
An aside, WW, you may actually know some gay people already, who are unwilling or unable to disclose that fact to you, or even to themselves.
