Hello, my name is Vickie Ernst. I am the Associate Director of ChildSafe, a non-profit advocacy center. We work with children who have been sexually abused. We help facilitate the investigation and also provide direct services. I am thrilled that I found this web site because I am trying to help my daughter find more opportunities to make contact with other gays and lesbians in the San Antonio community. We love living in San Antonio, the majority Hispanic population provides a wonderful character to the city that you won't find in many other places, but it is not as open to the gay and lesbian community as other, more progressive communities such as Austin. I sent her this site as well so she can register to join.

And welcome to your daughter, when she comes by. I seem to recall that we have had a member or two from San Antonio, and possibly one who still lives there, I'd have to go back and look. It must be one hell of a leg up, for a LGBT child to have a parent that they can be out to. I meet them in PFLAG, all the time, but of course most of them have a lot of process behind them, by the time I meet them. And hey, we have a lot of wonderful young women here, you can meet a lot of them here:

Just post a thread on one of our forums, with the words San Antonio in the title.
There are a couple, as I recall, who are in their teens, or just out. (And then there's Zerbie, she is forever young, and frightfully energetic. (And not that old, come to think of it)
Peace and Love, Bruce Chris
