I'm just curious whether Soulforce is planning an "Action" at the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops Meeting scheduled Mon-Thu, Nov. 13-16 in Baltimore?
At the meeting, the bishops are planning to adopt a very negative and harmful document titled, "Ministry to Persons with a Homosexual Inclination: Guidelines for Pastoral Care."
The National Religious Leadership Roundtable of the National Gay & Lesbian Task Force (NGLTF) issued a press release today: http://www.thetaskforce.org/media/release.cfm?releaseID=991

I don't have the resources (or skills) to organize a presence at this event, but I live near enough to Baltimore that it would be easy for me to attend.
Anyone else nearby...?

The Catholic Team that has organized a presence at the USCCB is no longer working together. I have heard that some folks from Jonah House might be there given that it is being held this year in Baltimore. Jonah House is a Catholic Worker House that Phil Berrigan started.

Thanks, James and Kara.
I understand that some Dignity members are planning a peaceful protest with signs and banners, and prepared to talk with the press. When details of date and time become available, I will post it on this forum thread.
==> Kara, would there be another, more visible place to post such an action on the Soulforce website?

Not that I can think of, though I suppose a duplicate posting under LGBT issues would also be a good thing. I'm very glad to hear that Dignity folks are planning on being there.
