I had read Mel's "stranger at the gate" because I was curious how a gay Christian put into words their understanding of God's Love.

I myself am a lesbian (prefer gay) Christian and have felt a calling to do something with the gift I have been given but have been unsure, until now...

I have been reading Mel's lates book - Religion Gone Bad- and have had some wonderful eye opening understandings as well as understanding myself better. I have to say that the book is what brought me here and has led to taking a direction in my life that has more action and less words and yet conveys God's love to all. So I am looking for further understanding with that.

I am a 33 yr old womoan in a 10 year 'marriage' with a woman 25 yrs my senior and she is most definately God's blessing to me. We aren't actively involved in ANY aspect of the gay culture accept to go to an MCC church in downtown Denver on occasion. (Isn't this Haggard thing interesting?)

Other than that we just read the Bible on our own, listen to God as best we can and live a life that is as close to following Christ as possible.

Thanks for hearing me out. Take Care.:D
