My name is Allen Earle. I found this site through Mel White's book "Religion Gone Bad," and just had to come and visit.

The book, by the way, is making me more than usually rampant to get out and fight for rights, although here in Canada, we do seem to have gotten just a bit further than in the U.S., since we now have the right to marry (and it's real marriage, not a "civil union" knock-off).

I hope to spend some time reading many interesting posts and debates, and perhaps contributing in my own small way.

I like what I read in your posts, and I like your country. It does occur to me that, while the phrase Gay Christian may cause the blood pressure of many Conservative Christians to rise considerably, the phrase Evangelical Humanist could very well send all too many of them right over the top. We'll just have to wait and see. I hope to see more of you.
