My name is Thom and I am new to the Soul Force web and forum. I learned of Soul Force while listening to OUtQ in the Morning on Sirius Radio. I am and HR professional in Miami and recently married my partner of 6 years in Toronto, Ontario. We were selected by MTV/Logo studios to be featured on their show "First Comes Love". We are thankful for the opportunity to put a face on the "gay marriage" initiatives and for the rights to adopt.
I come from a Southern Baptist and Pentecostal background. I attended 3 years of seminary and was a member of a large mega church in Lakeleand Florida for quite some time. When I struggled with my sexuality during my 20's I went to Exodus International for a week-long retreat held in St. Paul, Minnesota. Nice people were there, like myself, but luckily I saw the light and came to love and appreciate myself for who God made me and refused to accept the lie that they were selling.
