I worked on Az. Together and No on Prop 107 to defeat that amendment which Az is the 1st state to do so...a lot of people gave time, money, and energy to defeat the so-called "ban gay -marriage amendment". I am a 73 yr old lesbian and very active in politics. In addition, I volunteer all over town (Tucson) and am happy to share with you all. Dea

Yippee!!! First in the Nation!!!!

:D We did it, Dea!!!!

I'm in the Phoenix area, and volunteered exhaustively to defeat that mean thing. Wasn't Election Night incredible?!! I cried buckets, and was awake for about 3 days, floating on a cloud. :flower2: :flower: :dove: :earth:

Thanks for being an integral part of one of the most fantastic moments in my life! I'm going to an AZ Together Victory Party in Phoenix this coming Tuesday.

This forum is an incredibly open, supportive place, where many people come to share. I hope you will be back more often and join in the conversations.

Sending gratitude in the general direction of Tucson. :) :) :)

:) Welcome to SF and our community. That is great about Arizona. I hope other states will follow. My wonderful state of Alabama will probably be last to accept gay marriage  . Alabama is in what is called the Bible belt. We are so backwards:mad: but i am glad that your state has an open mind.
Again welcome:D

God Bless,
Christy

I think that we are discovering all over again that there is an antedote to Big Money in politics. It's called shoe leather, and door knocking, and phone banking, and envelope stuffing, and similar. I helped with much the same in South Dakota, to help get their blatently bad abortion law thrown out.

Oh, now I get it. Deaslydog = Dea, you Sly Dog you!  :agree:

Peace and Love, Bruce Chris
