Will Mel move into third place?

So we sent out an email alert asking Soulforce people to help Mel have a good showing in the Person of the Year poll over at planetout.com/gay.com.

I captured a screen shot before the alert went out and again just now.

About 60% of the emails have been opened thus far.

I’m projecting Mel will finish in third with 18% of the vote. Stephen Colbert has already called it and is asking Angelina, Mel, Nancy, and Mike to concede. ;)

Seeing as how Mr. Colbert was able to mobilize enough online voters to win him a bridge in Hungaria, I would be inclined to believe he will indeed win this one. I voted for Mel anyhow.

What? George Takei isn't on the list? I would have voted for him because, despite all the griping that he was "in the closet when it really mattered," I was thrilled to find that Sulu was gay.

Well, oops, I guess that was last year. Time flies when you get old.
