Hey, Scott, welcome!

Best way to get to know folks is to strike up a conversation on any of the forums. Introduce yourself on "Hi, my name is." That's a place people check to see who's new to Soulforce. Tell us a little or a lot about yourself. If you have questions or comments that fall into any of the other categories, post them in the appropriate spot.

It's the interchange of ideas that builds a community. That's what I like about these forums.

I have come to know some brilliant minds on this site. The responses I have read here have broadened my view tremendously. I believe this site to be a seed for change that is coming!

I am a Pagan which seems to be a minority represented here, but discussions on this site has opened my thoughts and feelings to people who believe in Christ. I see Christ now as the human genius of universal love.

I no longer feel theatened by all christians and perhaps some of the members here no longer feel threatened by pagans. I am really just a Nature lover and get spiritual uplifting from Her life force energy. I live on a farm with a small patch of Primaeval Forest more than 10,000 years old. What a treasure! And see myself as its temporary steward. Pan is the symbol I choose for my spiritual Ideal.

I would like to hear more about you!

I would have to agree with Benl and Scott S. It takes time, and some effort to learn what you can about each of the posters, and finding which of them you most like.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To Scott S: You know the difference between a Heathen and a Pagan?

The Pagans really know how to throw a party! :weee: :aparty: :agree:

But being a Pagan does not put you outside of God's love.

Peace and Love to both of you! Bruce Chris

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not sure I know pecisely the difference between pagan and heathen. Pagan is most concisely the spiritual beliefs of country folk. It is Very old celebrating life. Because a pagan celebrates holidays with love-making and may be polygamous (polyandrous) we have been labelled as evil by some christians in the past.

I believe that each organism has a consciousness and that all organisms are connected. All organisms feel pain and joy. And there exist a "macro-organism" that arises out of the whole. I respect life as sacred and that includes people. This gives me a sense of wonder and gratitude.

A heathen I believe is a term applied to one who does not respect life and harms it for gratification. but I'm not firm on this word. Your view on this interests me.

I love to be loved. I love so intently myself that I feel the pain of my lovers. One of my lovers, Adrain just lost his mother. The other two of us in our love circle Feel his pain so intently that our hearts ache every moment. I guess it's because we are family. I have five lovers. Two love circle trios and one duo. It's a very full life and sometimes complicated but definitely in tune with our souls. I am blessed far beyond what I deserve.

I look forward to hearing from all of you

Love and affirmation,

hey! i would love to get to know y'all better- through our interactions on this board and any others or over messengers and e-mail. feel free to toss me an instant message one of these times- i have AIM, yahoo, MSN, and ICQ- since i use trillian as my major messenger manager i often am in invisable mode, but take a look and see if i'm online anyway.

my 'sister' is pagan and has taught me a lot about what it means to be a spiritual person- i love her dearly and she often lives in the same house as the rest of my family- we all get along fabulously.

it's awesome to be loved and to love so strongly- being an empath to others is difficult sometimes because you feel the pain as well as the joy, but as the old swedish proverb says: shared joy is double joy and shared sorrow is half sorrow. seems like that kind of relation with others is just about the best way to live.

so let's chat sometime, eh? it's great to make 'connections in an isolating age', even over the internet.

blessed be-
~l'elly.

you know, it's interesting that you say it sounds british- i was only in england for five weeks about a year and a half ago and it was a big changing-point in my life. i loved being in london, oxford, bath, and stratford and loved interracting with the people i encountered there.

i couldn't think of any other way to state my location- i wish i really could surrender to the wind and travel wherever it takes me, but i don't have the funding to do that and my family commitments prevent it as well...*sigh*.

i've read a few of your posts, scotty, and look forward to chatting with you more too!

cheers-
~l'elly.
