Ok, I don't think anyone is real surprised, but this is clearly not Clay's choice. On the one hand, I think it would be great if Clay could be honest with himself and everyone else so that stuff like this wouldn't happen. But everyone deserves the chance to come out on their own. Clay is being denied that opportunity. I fear the innuendo that was tossed about by comedians before will now become outright cruel criticism.

This man's story hasn't really been verified as truth. It is still one man who has much to gain taking advantage of someone who could possibly give it. I would believe this man's story about the one night stand, but it doesn't really sound like it is true.

Gossip, nothing more. We don't really know if Clay is gay. He could just be effeminite, that doesn't mean he is attracted to men.

yes, it is just gossip. But it seems like the story is being picked up by a lot of news/gossip sources. That doesn't mean that it's true, but it does present some problems.
Hollywood: playing "gay" is brave being gay is tabu.

and Clay may come back and say he is straight.

he certainly could do that. so perhaps the bigger discussion is the inappropriateness of outting someone, and the reluctance of our society to accept that homosexuality occurs naturally and need not be hidden.

we wouldn't be hearing about this if it were a straight couple, and even with straight celebrities, it's rarely that they are dating, it's more about who they jilted so they could be with the new person.

Outing is always considered a bad thing. I think it is up there for society with alcohol, drugs etc.... OMG, so and so is an alcoholic. I would have never known...... It sadly falls into that catagory. I hope as time goes by that changes for gays.
