Anyone in Southwest Virginia?

Anyone else in Southwestern Virginia? We're trying to build some community among the Christian LGBTQ folk here. There are a few of us who get together already, but we'd love more.

Hello!

We are in Greensboro, NC right down the road! My partner is from Hillsville Va and has a brother in Wytheville. It is such a small world! My gf had a really hard time coming out and living a gay life in that part of the country. Have you had a hard time? We are in that area often. Maybe we can get together sometime.

My journey has been a bit easier than a lot of LGBTQ persons here. My family and church have been really supportive, as have my friends. I wasn't the first person in my family to come out as LGBTQ, so it's been easier because of that. I'm also an ordained minister with an M.Div. and training in Greek and Hebrew, so conservatives don't like to argue with me. ;-) They tend to loose. My family is also pretty politically liberal, so that made it easier too.
