A Winter Formal to Remember

Ok, so I thought you guys would get excited about this...

Last night was my last winter formal dance :'( :'( :'( but it was the most amazing night of my life. I attended the dance with my best friend from the second grade, my other best friend, and a really cute boy with whom I have been getting closer and closer too latley. Well... at the dance, Mike and I danced with each other, something that is unheard of at our school.

It was amazing! So many people got real confused and thought we were joking, and then we kissed and they knew we weren't joking at all!:rolleyes:

There were two incidences while we danced, one was these girls dancing by us saw us kiss and were all, "ewww... that's f***ing gross!" Mike just laughed and looked at me, and said, "Don't worry, they just saw themselves in the mirror for the first time.":lol::laughing::lol:

Then this other guy started dancing up to us, in a gross way... you know... and he wouldn't leave us alone, we were just ignoring him, and then my friend Liz just ran into him and pushed him out of the way and stood between us and him, and that was amazing...

And of course our principal was standing on the stage above the dance floor and saw us dancing and pointed us out to the other vice principal, and they were smiling. They didn't stop us. Yeah, amazing.

And to top off the night... on the way home... I asked Mike out... and now we're boyfriends!

Ya know what? I've been waiting my whole life for the world to move this direction. I'm still a very young woman, but when I was your age, I knew gay couples, and they were way too afraid to touch in public. I'm so glad. . . for the big picture as well as for what will always be, for you, a spectacular happy memory.

if you are running windows xp and the computer has recognised the scanner, you can go to the control panel to the 'scanners and cameras' icon. in there, click on your scanner and, if i remember correctly, it should run the wizard to acquire an image from your scanner. most scanners you just put in the picture face down, close the lid, and let the computer programme do the rest.

i run windows 2000 pro, so my computer is a bit different than xp- it doesn't have the nifty wizard like xp.

a few tips-
*in the wizard, make sure to do a preview scan first to make sure that your photo looks alright on the scanner.
*make sure that it is set to colour picture or custom- if i remember correctly, colour picture gets you 300dpi and in custom you can set any dpi- i personally prefer 600dpi, but it does make for a bigger file.
*save it as a jpg.
*it will ask you a name for the group of images- that's your file name.
it pretty much walks you through everything- i taught myself and after a few times i got it down- microsoft, for all it's flaws, is a remarkably user-friendly interface.

Its not only sweet and they are not only beautiful and handsome (and all of that is true) but it is SUBVERSIVE and POWERFUL. That picture and everything it represents, turns the world on its head in so many creative and life giving ways! Way to go my brother !! You make me proud.
