Way to go!!!! to Robynne Sapp and Dotti Berry for taking a stand for lesbian and gay families and gay people everywhere. You have demonstrated great courage and self-respect in your actions against the misinformation about LGBT families put out by James Dobson and Focus on the Family.

You have set a great example for others to follow.

Thank you!! :)

Be sure and watch the video at www.soulforce.org/article/1182

Soulforce volunteer Kate Burns did a fabulous job putting this video together in one night so that we could get it up on the web and in our email alert. She only got about an hour of sleep before having to go to her "real" job the next morning.

Schneeberger, however, challenged the women to come up with anything in Dobson's writings that shows him to be negative toward gay people.

As much as I hate the idea of reading anything that Dobson has written, I'll do some research to the help the cause.

Thanks for the article. While it may be standard procedure to quote from a source...

"We don't believe standing up for traditional families diminishes (anybody)," Schneeberger said, adding that it's standard procedure to quote research data without asking permission.

...it is not customary to misrepresent that source for one's own ends over the objection of the author. That's called bearing false witness. Or if you prefer: lying.

Did you know Moonies (cult of Sun Yung Moon) practice a form of evangelism they call 'heavenly deceit' in which they can say basically anything untrue to a potential new convert like, "Come with us to a picnic..." and then kidnap the person for brainwashing into the cult?

FOF practises a form of 'heavenly deceit' in my opinion. And they say WE recruit? No, it's the other way around!

Dobson actually wants someone to tell him how hateful he is??? Is he kidding? I could come up with all kinds of negative comments! He is really living in lala land.

But if they/we could get someone like, say, Montel Williams to issue the challenge publically, Mr. Dobson would be under a LOT more pressure to come out of his own closet.

Let me work on this one a little. :inspector: :running: :whistleblower:

http://www.montelshow.com/sendyourpov/ Write Montel here, and ask him to do it.

Quote:
Robynne Sapp and Dotti Berry, as Gayintostraightamerica.com have been trying to get James Dobson of Focus on the Family to dialogue about the nature of homosexuality. He is ignoring them. I am asking you to Publically Challenge him to do so.
