Yes, folks, this is my 1,000th post here at the Soulforce forums! Now if I only had something significant to say.

so I'll say a few of the things that have been in my mind for the past few weeks:

I am what I am, and what I am needs no excuses.....

It's better to be hated for what you are than to be loved for what you are not.

hmm, in both of those, I hear a sense of "being." Paging Monsieur Descartes. I think therefore I am.

Good - there are no excuses for you, anyway.

I find it more comforting to be hated for what I'm not, leaving myself free to continue deluding myself that they would like me if they only knew the real me. If the choice is only a dichotomy, however, I'll have to begrudgingly agree with you.

Ha. You took away the part that Nietzche left, and kept the part he took away. Nietzche merely said I think and that thought is what creates. Kind of wierd. I prefer the Descartes view.
