I wrote this awhile back when I was trying to convey how I felt when I was judged by other Christians for liking girls.
My Sins
With eyes screwed tightly shut, I listen to the sound of falling rain,
Wishing with every fiber of my being that it could wash away my sins.
Jesus died to save me because He loved me, and yet,
You think you're man enough to say whether or not it was enough.
If we, as humans, are incapable of even deciding what we dream,
How can you judge me for not being able to choose who I love?
Oh, intoxicating pride! How you have corrupted man!
He, who once, in deepest humility, bowed to thank the Lord,
Now believes that he must guard Heaven's gates,
For who is God, to decide who He should love?
And who is this Jesus, to think that His blood was enough to cleanse
My sins?
