I am 24 years old a former baptist minister and a convert to the LDS church. Jan of this year I have fully come to turns with my sexuality and am openly bi after trying to kill myself. I do have a mission in the works but would over to get into the campaigning for equal rights. I would love to go on these rides and help shares tolerance and acceptance of who we are and that we will not change. For now I will just spread the word. anytime someone wants to talk just email here or at djswallow@gmail.com

Hi! Have you been open about your bisexuality with any members of the LDS church? If so, how did they respond, and how have you dealt with it?

Have you taken a look at Affirmation? (There's another one, for methodists, with the same name, so go by the URL)
http://www.affirmation.org/
There are also a very large number of organizations, at

You may have to do some digging, to find what you want, there. Of course, if you google gay (Anything), you will sooner or later find something.
Drew, that is female? There is always http://www.christianlesbians.com/ -they are Christian, but not Mormon.
We all go searching for what we think we don't have. I was an Investigator, long ago. Never again. My present church is

first of all bruce, im male drew is short for andrew.
Dianne the LDS church knows they dont care if someone is gay just if they have sex. To all the people out there who wants to know the true stance of homosexuality of the church, here it is straight from a general authorities mouth. the church doesnt have a problem with guys being with guys. the churches problem is guys spilling their seed through jacking off or by having sex with one another. They hold that same guideline to premarital sex with straight couples.
everyone thanks for making me feel welcome

Also there is hope. Don't let the dark feelings, the cries drive you to suicide. Sometimes pain seems so real that we can't take it. Sometimes we numb ourselves to the point of where we wonder if we can feel pain. I have been at both and during my time in an evangelical college I contemplated suicide more times than I can remember. I do not know how many times I came to organizing it. But do keep trusting in God. he is as the psalmist says is our portion. He will be your substance. also begin building a support system. They will help you so much. DO know as a child of God and as a GLBT individual you are loved by many, even by individuals who do not know yet. There are plenty of people who pray for individuals lke us everyday. Be uplifted in their prayers for standing on the shoulders of these saints we may find strength to stand even when we do not feel like standing ourselves. If however if suicidal thoughts still keep occurring, even few and far inbetween, I would encourage you to consider talking to a medical professional about some help. They are there for a reason.
