Equality Texas

hey, just thought i'd let people know that if you are in Texas, like me... then God help you. other than that though there is a group called Equality Texas (http://www.equalitytexas.org) that works on GLBT issues in texas. i just got an email notice that they are looking for help concerning an insurance bill in the texas legislature. they need peoples stories about discrimination. anyway... if you're in texas they are a great group to keep up with GLBT issues and find out how to get involved.

Your first line made me laugh. Sadly, b/c I recognize a lot of truth behind the remark. I loved living in TX, but all the overt and physically threatening incidents of anti-gay prejudice I've experienced AND witnessed, well, they ALL happened in Texas.
