Hello My name is Danell, and my partner of 11 yrs is Robin. We moved to S.C from California about three years ago, and let me tell you...It is very different here in the south with gay/lesbians. It down right sucks. We have no social life with any gay/lesbian friends. they are all straight. At home we have a lot of gay/lesbian friends. So I am on here hoping to meet some ppl like us!

Hello Danell! I've only been a member a very short time myself. I live in NC and currently I have a grand total of 2 gay/lesbian friends. 1 of which I just met last week! I recently moved to a different part of NC after my partner & I broke up. Sadly the majority of "our" friends were hers. So I'm feeling your pain so to speak. :injured:

CA to S.C. eh? Wow, that sounds like a big change. I moved to FL from Chicago a few years ago and am planning on going back, SOON. Not only is everyone straight around here too, they're insanely conservative (more insane than conservative). :sick:

More and more, I am getting the impression that GLBT folks would just be SO much happier, living in a Blue State and/or a large city and/or just not in the South. (In Madison, Wisconsin, you have to LOOK for homophobia, or you'l miss it entirely)

But I don't mean to criticize. I'm just glad that I grew up in Minneapolis. Yeah, stick around, we're all gay or gay friendly. Of course, a few of us are a little crazy..... (I should warn you about thse other guys, bafore they warn you about ME :eek:
