Hi! My name is Beth, 23 from New Mexico, but I moved to Arizona the beginning of this year. I love it here.
Right now I'm working at a coffeeshop and plan to get back into school this fall and major in political science with aspirations to teach, or work with kids in some form or another.
I'm just looking for new people so if you're interested, just drop me a line and I'll get back to you ASAP.
Peace.
Beth

Gilbert, Az? You're right down the road from our most active and prolific member, Zerbie. (We gotta love her, 'cause we can't seem to get rid of her!) I'm sure you'll hear from her, soon enough. She is a real activist. :weee: :agree:
Come and read our posts, make replies, and make some new friends. Tell us what you think, and tell us more about yourself.
Political science, and teaching? You could be an asset to our community, sometime soon. Cbarhop, is that a car hop, or a bar hop? (Depends on whether you are working, maybe)
Welcome to our group, Peace and Love, Bruce Chris

Hey! Howdy neighbor!!!
You're right in my neck 'o the woods (er, desert.) Depending upon your interest, there's a LOT in this valley that you could get involved with. Everything from Valley 1 in 10, to Stonewall Dems and Log Cabin Republicans, local chapter of the HRC, bla bla bla. Check out "Echo" and "In Touch" magazines for what's going on locally. Mesa even has a PFLAG chapter, by the way, that started up last summer.
Of course, you know that the Pride Parade and festival is coming up in about 3 weeks, right? ;)
Funny, I was just thinking how there's no one from the Phoenix metro posting on this forum other than myself. whew. Now it's not so lonely anymore. :p

OF course I know that pride is coming up! I'm really excited. I've never been to pride before. I'm from small town, rural New Mexico and that JUST doesn't happen....its not something that they agree with!
Thanks for the update on stuff to do in the Valley--I'm getting involved in church more and more, joining the 20/30 crew so that should be lots of fun!
Just getting ready to move in and doing all that I can so I won't turn into a HOMEBODY!!!
