Hi there,

Just thought I'd introduce myself, I found the site a while ago from a google search and read the article on the site "What the bible says - and doens't say - about homosexuality" very interesting.

What can I say about me? I'm an art student, I live in a place called Stoke in England, I love music, play the guitar and piano, (and hoping to pick up another instrument soon - thinking violin, flute, tabla drums... maybe I'll learn them all eventually if I can find a site on how to do it) ummm, my favorite moments in life are those experiences that give you goosebumps and shivers becasue they effect you in some way - a part in a film, a song, a realisation.

I knew I was gay from a young age, which was a blessing and a curse in my opinion. It meant I kind of came to terms with it pretty quickly (although maybe that had nothing to do with the fact I knew early on) but also I started relationships quite early, but I won't go into that! For I am a rambler and a tangent maker of the direst category, hehe. ie. I'll go on and on and this is only a little intro to say "hi".

If you're interested, in my art I look at cross-cultral awkwardness and integration, the definition of the sacred, spirituality, and thinking of changing direction to sexuality although if I were to ever have my work exhibited I wouldn't want to be known as "that gay artist" because in my opinion, part of being seen as equal isn't going around shouting "I'm gay! deal with it!! Get over it!!" because it kind of classifies you as gay, if that makes sense? That facet of myself would be the most prominent focus, when infact, I don't feel like a lot of the gay people I've met at all, so people would make false assumptions on who I am...

Sheesh, well at least I got my little tangent in there! I can't help myself.

teehee,
Take care,
Chris

England seems like a nice place, but I've never been there. On the 'net, you are as close as my next door neighbor, except that it's 5 hours later there. Hey, that's O.K., too. Some of our members stay up all night. At least I can always understand the people, well, except for the Gaelics, and some of the Cockneys

We have lots of musicians and artists here, too. And you sound like you are young, we've lots of people you age, I'm sure.

Meet the people, post your opinions (sounds like you have lots of those), make some friends

Peace and Love, Bruce Chris

Thanks for the reply Bruce Chris (Is Chris your second name?)

Well, like any place England has it's better and worse areas - although that depends on your perspective I guess.

I've got a virus at the moment which keeps me awake when I try to sleep. Although I'm a late nighter anyway so it doens't bother me that much.

I'm 21, yeah I know I sometimes sound quite dizzy when I ramble - I seem to type my mind when I type, which kind of gives a dog chasing it's tail effect feel... :s

Well I'll 'ave a gander at the otha' posts me ol' china, before it's time to get to the tin and lead...

Take care
Chris

Welcome Chris,
Good intro! I'm one of the singers here. :sing:

I've been across the pond a few times (mostly in Austria) but was in England once for just over a week. High school choir tour - omigoodness!! In some ways, such a disaster! Hilarious! Memorable, and a lifetime of silly stories (like 6 of us being lost in a London suburb all night long:eek:  ) from that single week.

It was mid-march, I believe, and everywhere one looked, daffodils.
