There must be a lot of money in this ex-gay industry. It appears Bob Jones has started his own. What was wrong with the other 5 or so that already exist?

I wonder if an "Ex-Straight" ministry could be a 501(c)3?? I could sure use the dough!!!

Keep it down Steve!! We don't DO THAT, Remember? you want the straight people to find out?

(Disclaimer: the above comment is said sardonically with tongue firmly in cheek. Any use of the above comment to prove that gay people do, in fact, recruit heterosexuals is contrary to the intenst of the poster and will be punished to the full extent of the law)

We could certainly teach them abstinence from the opposite sex, and since that's all the rage nowadays, even getting federal funding, maybe we're on to something here...come to think of it, isn't this what Augustine started, an ex-straight commune????? :)

Dan Savages book, Skipping Toward Gomorrah, talks about the idea of gays recruiting. He makes a comment similar to "what would I have to do to persuade you to hold....." Oh wait, I guess I can't really finish that thought. However, it really does point out the absurdity of the idea that gays can be "recruited" into the heterosexual lifestyle. Really, I don't mind the hetero's I just don't want that lifestyle flaunted in front of me.

It'd be funnier if it wasn't true. ::sigh::

As for "ex-straight"...most of us kind of are. Because most of us did attempt an unnatural straight lifestyle. ::shudder:: I'm so glad I've since seen the light.
