How many glbt Episcopalians wore something with a rainbow on it to church today? Charley and I wore rainbow pins. I even wore mine on my alb. (I was crucifer).

The presiding bishop asked us to fast and pray after the Primates meeting in Tanzania. In response many gay Episcopalians agreed, but said they would wear something with a rainbow to Easter services, just to remind folks that we're still here, and we're not going away. (Thanks, suzer, for posting the links that led me to this!)

Fortunately, in our parish, it causes no big stir. Mine was a rainbow fish, like Pablo's avatar. A few people noticed and wanted to know what it symbolized. (The letters of the Greek word for fish [ichthus] form an acronym for the Greek phrase, "Jesus Christ, son of God, savior." The fish became a secret symbol for early Christians during times of persecution. Seems appropriate to me for gay Christians.)

I love it every bit!
