I agree with the article, and I think all parents should be judged by the same standards.. You do have heterosexual parents who are unfit parents as well.(Not to say that all gay parents are fit) but to promote a more balanced perspective.. What would be in the best interests of the child would be a loving and stable environment no matter the sexual orientation of the parent.
