As a Quaker, I was very interested in knowing that Soulforce visited George Fox University.
I want people to know that not all Quakers are like the ones at George Fox.
The Society of Friends have several different branches. Unfortunately the majority of Friends belong to the more conservative branches.
However there is a very strong branch that is very supportive of gay issues. My particular congregation has indicated their willingness to marry a same sex couple.
The conservative group are usually called Friends Churches and the more accepting group is usually called Friends Meetings.
We have no umbrella organization which sets policy.
Anyone with questions, are welcome to email me at rosevillegarymiller@yahoo.com
