Hello everyone! My name is Mikie. I am in an 8 year relationship with my partner Ryan. I have a 12 year old daughter. I live in the Memphis, TN area. I love to listen to music, reading, watching tv, and most of all spending time with my family and friends. I am currently going to college fulltime and working fulltime. I love meeting new friends and getting to know people.

Glad to meet ya!
I always love to focus on new wonders. Being Gay for me is one of them..Don't like to dwell on anything but positive affirmation.
I get a sense of unconditional love of my self and others from my lovers, My Reiki Circle, and from Abraham's Art of Allowing (A discipline of emotionally sensitive thought focus) This my spirituality
Here I have found affirmation......and offer it in return.
There is great love here for you. We are complete through our love for one another.

Hi Mikey, welcome. :)
Omigoodness! Working full-time AND going to school full-time AND raising a daughter!?!?!! How did you find a moment to pop over here and post? Well, I certainly hope you'll find a moment again to come back and tell us more. What are you studying? What's your goal?
Thanks for taking the time to say hello.

I am majoring in Secondary Education. I want to teach English or History not quite sure yet they are both "loves" of mine. I am leaning towards English though.
You are correct it is hard to find time for school that is why most of my classes are online.

Cool.
Be prepared for both. I have a friend who was working as the choral teacher who was asked to take an English class (I guess the regular English teachers were overbooked.) You never know!
My high school had a program called "humanities." It was English/history together, team-taught. We had a block of 2 class periods back to back (5 minute break between,) and one class would be English, the other history. But the history teacher participated as co-facilitator during English class, and the English teacher did the same during history class. That way, the parallels between what was going on in history and in literature at any given time period were stressed a great deal. Those humanities classes were quite good.
