This past week the Soulforce Equality Riders came to Seattle Pacific University. Through speaking with the Equality Riders, I found that it is their experience to find violence and intense opposition on Christian campuses especially on the East coast. This really surprised me that there could be so much closed mindedness on campuses and in institutions that claim to be 'diverse'. For SPU this was an amazing event that opened up a whole new topic of discussion that was previously swept under the rug. Here we constantly speak about "getting out of the SPU bubble" and branching out and this even really helped us to begin to do this. Thank you for coming to SPU, I support you guys in everything you do! You are in my thoughts and prayers.

dudisa- Thanks for you post! Welcome to the forum! I am glad you were able to speak with the Riders. When you have the time to do so, I'd like to hear more about your experience with them and your observations on the response to them by your school.

Thank you for you support and prayers. It means a lot to us.

Blessing to you.
