This thread is for the up an coming Pride celebrations that will be hitting the bigger cities in may-june.

I want to know what are you doing when Gay Pride comes to town.

I am also making this announcement that I am throwing my hat in the ring next year and running for Ms. NM Gay Pride 2008-09 as Pandora.

I am going to be very different from other Queens, mixing Politics, Spirituality and Drag. and Avoiding Divas like the plauge.

I just realized you live in Albuquerque. If one could be in love with a place, I am in love with the whole Albuquerque-Santa Fe-Espanola region. I spent summers there in the 90's working on the San Ildefonso and Santa Clara Pueblos around Espanola, and then in Window Rock, New Mexico/Arizona on the Navajo reservation. I wish like everything I could live there. From what I understand, it is one of the few states that welcomes gay and lesbian people. Good for you. I hope your Pride celebration is wonderful and ours in Houston will be hot and humid. :)

I spent two wonderful summers at Ghost Ranch in Abiquiu !! Climbed El Pedernal slept there and watched the sun rise. If there is one spot in the world where God lives ... its there!

My friend Mia and I are planning a pilgrimage to the Big Apple for my first EVER pride event. She went to NYC last year and had total fun. I need to feel that crazy, warm, vibrant energy this year more than ever, so we are trying to round up a good sized contingent to come along. I believe that the parade this year is on Sunday, June 24. We are very excited!!!! :love:

We have a parade in Dayton Ohio that goes from the library to courthouse square. At the square we have all types of entertainment, drag queens and speakers. The various groups also have information tables. Here is a picture of the 2004 parade starting at the library.
