Hi. My name is Satina Stewart. I am a member of StandOut, a queer political group at the University of Texas in Austin. On March 2nd, we are hosting an event that affirms and celebrates queer people of color. The event will
recognize the contributions made by queer people of color in their various
communities. There will also be a dialogue about the issues that we face in
the gay and minority communities. As a queer black woman, I feel it is
important for others to see the diversity of our present and our history. Therewill be various art show cases and media, music and talents, but we are still looking for more people. If you know any queer people of color with any talent from the ordinary or bizarre , please email me at: Satina@mail.utexas.edu or at
hopegreyglory@yahoo.com .

Satina: I don't know any persons to assist, but I just wanted to wish you good luck with this event. It sounds like a great opportunity to express to persons who you are, out there loud and proud. I admire your courage to conduct this and hope that you have a great response to it. Even if you make one person a little more aware, tolerant, or even an ALLY, it will have been well worth it. Peace and blessings to you, Vanessa:pray:
