The lead-in to this article struck me as humorous in a twisted sort of way.

Could it be one of those "if a tree falls in the forest and no one is there does it still make a sound?" issues? (or if a man speaks and no woman is around, is he still wrong?).
I am given to understand from a reliable source that Women living in the same household tend, over time, to have their menstruel cycles allign to each other. Could it be that in the absence of a (relatively) emotionally stable partner two women moving up and down emotionally in the same rhythm might not NOTICE the change as clearly or react to it as much as a mixed couple who are moving together and away relative to each other emotionally?
just a thought

I didn't quite understand the question in your second pararaph, Dave.
 Are you saying that if two women are having PMS at the same time they cancel each other out? That PMS is more noticeable when one partner isn't having it?
The article states that women with male partners and PMS are attributing aners/frustrations with the relationship to their PMS, instead of to things that need to improve in the relationship. I read an implicit assumption there that PMS is not really PMS, but a relationship problem. Dangerous assumption, although in a case where it's correct, of course it seems couples' counseling would help that.

I remember in our pre-menopausal days that we would be going along fine and then one day I couldn't do anything right and that would last a few days and then suddenly (and for the rest of the month) I was smart, lovable, and competant again. this is not to say that I was never an a*****e, only that I was randomly that way and it had no relation at all to the lunar calendar.
I guess I was just ruminating over the possibility that if two women with aligned cycles decended into the pit together and pissed each other off for a couple of days that because their emotional rollercoasters were running parallel that they might not notice it so much.
If YOU are experiencing PMS currently, Zerb, please forget I said anything  you're right. I'm just a stupid male. what do I know.
