Not necessarily media coverage (http://www.soulforce.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2215), yet I’ve got plenty more to say on some of these colleges in addition to what's already being discussed.

This is a direct transcription of the opening 'pages' of the video (below):
Patrick Henry College
Eastbound Equality Ride Bus
April 12, 2007
Established in 2000, Patrick Henry College is a non-denominational, Protestant school whose mission is to “prepare Christian men and women who will lead our nation and shape our culture with timeless biblical values and the fidelity to the spirit of the American founding.”
Patrick Henry sent more graduates to work at the White House than any other school in the nation.
Out of 80 graduates from Patrick Henry’s first graduating class in 2004, seven moved on to work as White House interns.
Other graduates have gone on to work in other areas of the federal government.
In May 2006, one-third of Patrick Henry’s faculty resigned after refusing to adhere to the school’s highly restrictive and legalistic “statement of Biblical Worldviews.”
Patrick Henry’s employment and admissions policies actively discriminate against gay and transgender students, faculty and staff.
Approximately 85% of Patrick Henry’s 325 students have come from home-schooled education.
The school remains unaccredited, partly due to its “Statement of Biblical Worldviews.”
The school contains little diversity in regard to race and ethnicity and is hostile to any open diversity and affirmation of those with different sexual orientations or gender identities.
Although the Equality Ride attempted to work with the achool in order to speak to students in open and honest conversation and dialogue on campus, the administration of the school refused true dialogue, instead offering “debate” on the Federal Marriage Amendment.
Patrick Henry also stated that members of the Equality Ride are “false teachers,” “infiltrate” college campuses, politically and... spiritually.”

Soulforce Equality Ride visit to Patrick Henry College
And then ends with this:
With over 100 law enforcement personnel present, the Equality Riders were unable to speak to any students at the edge of the campus.
Only one Rider was able to speak to students at an off-campus eatery.
Both students expressed embarrassment for the way in which their school handled the Equality Ride visit to the campus. They also readily admitted that they and their peers would be at an extreme disadvantage when their time comes to enter the “real world.”

I've saved the good parts for your viewing pleasure. Here's the evil:
PS, I’m still looking for that Google video of the BBC documentary of Patrick Henry College which I “coincidentally” stumbled across and watched just last night..
300 students, and only a few years old, yet this is a school that was DESIGNED to change national policy.
Patrick Henry College
I think that they think, that we’re just a bunch of sheltered, completely ignorant home-schoolers who have been taught by our parents that – “what they do is wrong,” and we’ve just accepted it, and swallowed it. But that’s really not the case, we very firmly believe, that what, ya know, the, ya know – being gay and being lesbian is wrong. But we have, we know what they have to say. We know what we believe. We know, ya know, from the Biblical basis – Why – what they do is wrong.
Justin case you thought that all Patrick Henry College students were “just a bunch of sheltered, completely ignorant home-schoolers who have been taught by [their] parents that...”
We believe in the inerrancy of Scripture, and the Scripture says that, this kind of behavior is wrong. And we believe that the reason it’s wrong, is because the God of the universe, set up a system, and anything deviant from that is destructive and damaging.
As opposed to the perfectly acceptable part of God’s “system” to kill, maim, and traumatize for life, hundreds of thousands of our Iraqi brothers and sisters in the name of Jesus Christ.
And Justin time for the Grand Mall Seizure finale:
The objective of this group is not dialogue, but to silence our voice. Why should they care if we say that homosexual behavior, and note that I say that homosexual behavior is immoral. The reason they care, is because our voice coincides with their God given conscience. Their other objective is to drown out the voice of God, from their own hearts.
It's official. Michael Farris, Chancellor of Patrick Henry College speaks for the “consciences” of every single LGBTQQI person on the planet – from afar – the press room inside.
Clearly, even the Chancellors of Patrick Henry College aren't also “just a bunch of sheltered, completely ignorant home-schoolers.." (as one of their students articulated so eloquently above)
I’ll spare the other Justins my wrath and suffice it to say that I covered this tactic/“belief” last Friday, October 27, 2006 (http://holybulliesandheadlessmonsters.blogspot.com/2006/10/gays-hate-god-riiiiiiiiiiiiiight-world.html)
This, like the Michael Farris gem above, is an example of Projection of projection.
Kevin McCullough of World Net Daily (certifiable):
They wrongfully believe that the guilty voice within them is an echo of a prudish state that seeks to limit their freedoms. They wrongfully believe that the judgment they feel is emanating from "Bible thumpers." And what they fail to admit is that the voice that condemns them the loudest is never a human voice – but in fact the voice of their own conscience informed by the truth of the God who created them.
What Kevin McCullough and Michael Farris are really saying (about themselves) is this:
They wrongfully believe that the guilty voice within them is an echo of a homosexual agenda that seeks to limit their freedoms. They wrongfully believe that the judgment they feel is emanating from “homosexual activists.” And what they fail to admit is that the voice that condemns them the loudest is never a human voice – but in fact the voice of their own conscience informed by the truth of the God who created them.
And just when you thought it couln't get worse... (actually this is kinda funny. I think this was actually made by PHC students – making fun of themselves – and it looks like the outside of the building to me. :D)

Earl Hall, VP campus administration – as noted in video (http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/video/2007/04/13/VI2007041300437.html) – warning riders of non-forgiveness of trespass against them.
“I’m thrilled that it seems to be over,” said Earl Hall, PHC Vice President for Campus Administration, watching as the last of the protesters crossed over to their awaiting bus. “From a security standpoint, it was fairly low-key throughout the day.”
Big accomplishment. You kept your students from thinking for themselves.
This is what really bugs me though, I explored it in the post above.
Apparently they are so proud of their Chancellor's press statement that they have posted it on their website:
Mike Farris’s Statement to the Press (http://www.phc.edu/news/docs/04132007Media.asp)
By Michael P. Farris, Chancellor
Their ultimate objective is to drown out the voice of God in their own hearts.
there are no circumstances under which they can silence the voice of their God-given conscience.
What sickens me most about this kind of statement is that the man unabashedly speaks for the hearts of the Equality Riders, their consciences themselves – literally from behind closed doors.
It's not only unfair in the strictest of senses, it's inexcusable, and I am tempted to say unforgivable.
Personally (me, Emproph), I walk this oh-so fine line of "knowing" the hearts of others when I post online, and am ever-tempted to cross it. I make every attempt to qualify what I say with evidence, partly because I know I often fail in this endeavor in my own mind.
By speaking for the hearts and minds of the Equality Riders in such a fundamentally disparaging way – at a PRESS conference – is not only to bear false witness, but to do so with the motive of spreading that false witness. It is a witness as to just how politically motivated that school is (and by "political" I mean dishonest).
Furthermore, by speaking for the "God-given conscience[s]" of the Equlity Riders (and by default, every GLBT person of faith), Michael P. Farris claims witness to what ONLY God could possibly know. And by so doing, Michael P. Farris, Chancellor of PHC, attempts to speak for God's relationship with us. The ultimate heresy, the ultimate blasphemy, the ultimate idolatry.
More importantly and most irresponsibly, he does so without any attempt to engage the Equality Riders in order to ensure that his perceptions are accurate.
There's just something within me that says there's nothing more vile.

Truly a sight to be seen.

Exactly, and this is the very definition of Special Rights (http://www.equalityloudoun.org/2007/08/01/a-season-of-sin/). They imagine an exception in the commandment that the rest of us can't see: Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor - unless thy neighbor is gay.
The link above for 'Special Rights' goes to Equality Loudoun. An excerpt:
August 1, 2007
A season of sin
April: The administration of PHC distributed a falsified version (http://www.equalityloudoun.org/2007/04/24/open-dialogue-would-embarrass-phc/) of Equality Loudoun’s commenting policy, in order to make the specious claim that we don’t welcome disagreement and debate on this blog. The occasion was the Soulforce Equality Ride visit to campus (http://www.equalityloudoun.org/Soulforce_Equality_Ride_2007/index.html), and the objective was to justify PHC’s own unwillingness to engage in honest dialogue. The misrepresentation appeared in a flyer (http://www.equalityloudoun.org/PHC_debate_flyer.pdf) prepared for the media by the “Office of Communications, Patrick Henry College.”
When students and alumni (who had been reading and commenting on our blog) confronted their administration, the president implied that we had altered our policy after they produced the flyer. According to the Tuesday, April 24, 2007 minutes (http://www.equalityloudoun.org/Walker_senate_address20070429.pdf) of the Student Senate, President Graham Walker told them
I don’t rem[em]ber that, and hope I have a copy of their posting policy on the day we quoted it. I’ll look into it.
There's way to much to go into, and if anyone knows if any of this is false, please speak up, but given that Patrick give me liberty or give me death Henry College's chacellor Michael Farris has taken the "liberty" to speak for every LGBTQQI person on the planet in regard to God's relationship with us, I found the 'flyer' portion hyperlink tidbit of particular interest:
Here is our actual commenting policy, which appears below each post:This space belongs to the gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and allied community. We welcome all in the larger community who wish to engage in honest, principled discussion of the sometimes controversial matters posted here. We have zero interest, however, in “debating” people who believe that we don’t or shouldn’t exist. That is not what this space is for. It is our home, and Equality Loudoun will administer it accordingly. Abusive or fraudulent posts will simply be removed. Other than that, please be kind to each other and enjoy this forum.
