My name is Brian. I had the priviledge of meeting Mel White a few years ago when he came to Miami University at Oxford Ohio. He told his story about the snake they found on their property and how it's not bad to be different. Then Mel took some questions from the students attending the meeting. Afterward, my friend and I got to have our picture taken with Mel. It was special. That will be one of my best memories always.

Yes. Mel White is an intelligent and courageous man. I've never met him, but I have read his book, Religion Gone Bad: The Hidden Dangers of the Christian Right. It's a powerful book.

Well...if you must know...the photographer. He was my date that night at the gay club. He is very, very, cute! He is the one that drove me to the college where Mel White was speaking. Unfortunately, we are not seeing each other any more.:(
