Hi all.

Has anyone heard from Dash?  He hasn't posted in months, and apparently hasn't been logged on lately either.

I miss our poet. :(

We PM's about 5 weeks ago. And I don't think he would mind me saying that he's sorting through things and taking care of himself.

Dash- if you've reading: Much love buddy.

Mornin', All!

I can report (at least as of Thursday) that our dashing Dash is fine and dandy, but tres, tres busy with his music (to which, I'm sure Daniel can attest) and has found precious little time for keyboard ticklin'.

He did mention something about the Northwestern Swim Team, but I didn't want to pry.

Glad to hear he's busy with something he loves. I hope it brings him much joy, and that he does come back to tell us all about it. Or, maybe we should hope that he is.

And a swim team - oh my. That could make for some interesting stories, as well. Let's just hope he's not going down for the third time.

And am glad he has been in touch with some of you. I can identify with the need to focus elsewhere for a time, but will be glad when he returns!!

He's been on my mind too. I miss him.

His words on this board regularly prevent violence of thought in my own mind.

Here I am!

Do I get a fatted calf?

Sorry I've been so out of touch. Don't mean for anyone to worry. :o

Believe it or not, I haven't had regular internet since like February 20th! That's 'sposed to change tomorrow.

I think I'm gonna cook a fatted calf for the cable guy...

But internet's not the only reason for the distance...but I'm not sure why I stay away either. I find myself disinclined to match wits/cross swords/engage in verbal fisticuffs with my misguided anti-gay neighbors.

Sigh...

It's always the same ol' plot ain't it? Leviticus, Sodom, he said, jesus said... Ya ta ta ya ta ta tah....

Nonetheless, "Howdy y'all." I have some PM's to attend to, so that's where I'm headed now.:)

The frustration’s mutual BTW, but the goal is always the silver bullet. (of mind?)

Fortunately we all now know that you can be reached via Soulforce bat-light.

Wow! That's some kiss Steve!

A bit of poetry for our much missed Bard.

Music Master

You that love lovers,
that is your home. Welcome!

In the midst of making form, love
made this form that melts form,
with love for the door,
soul the vestibule.

Watch the dust grains moving
in the light near the window.

Their dance is our dance.

We rarely hear the inward music,
but we're all dancing to it nevertheless,

directed by the one who teaches us,
the pure joy of the sun,
our music master.

~

When I am with you, we stay up all night.
When you're not there, I can't go to sleep.

Praise God of these two insomnias!
And the difference between them.

~

The minute I heard my first love story
I started looking for you, not knowing
how blind that was.

Lovers don't finally meet somewhere.
They're in each other all along.

~

We are the mirror as well as the face in it.
We are tasting the taste this minute
of eternity. We are pain
and what cures pain, both. We are
the sweet cold water and the jar that pours.

I want to hold you close like a lute,
so we can cry out with loving.

~

You would rather throw stones at a mirror?
I am your mirror, and here are the stones.

Rumi

Hiya Dash!!!

Wow, you've grown some hair while you've been away. Great do, and great to hear from you. Hope all is fine.

I know what you mean about the verbal fisticuffs. It gets old - everytime I see a new one post, I think 'here we go again'. But I guess for some of us, it's a calling.

So how are things at Northwestern? Hope all is well for you. Come back now and then, if not for our anti-gay neighbors, then for all of your SF friends!!!

You call to my heart in a lyrical way like no one else here, sweetie!!! (Except maybe Daniel.......) I am SOOOOOOOOOOO glad to have you back, I really have missed you. I still adore you even if you do look kind of beastly, and I say that in the kindest way possible......      :)

Well, I feel like I should welcome Dash back, too, even though I apparently wasn't here when you left.

Is your avatar supposed to say that Soulforce Forums are so easy that even a caveman can use them?

And what's this about a swim team? As a former swimmer and coach, I feel I have a right to know. Ok, no I don't. But I'm nosey. (And, I must admit to being a VERY former swimmer ... used to have that perfect swimmers build, square shoulders, 28 waist, etc... now I'm built a lot more like an orangutang. Sigh.)

Oh...that swim team stuff is hardly worth repeating here. :o Let's just say that they are an inspiring group of athletes.

My caveman is my response to the four seasons of Chicago weather (as Jeff Foxworthy puts it): Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Road Construction.

It's been a long winter... :(

In PA, we say there are two seasons in Erie: Winter and August.

And be warned, in case it's relevant, swimmers are a strange breed ... chlorine gets to your brain, I think.
