Yep! that's right! I am done with Mock Trial (Second in the State of Idaho) and my Drama Performance of Our Town. Both went amazingly well. Now I just have to finish my 12 page paper on the American Revolution, that is on how it was unjust and Britain was right. Yeah! You heard that right. You have a loyalist in your midst. My allegiance is to the King of England. Actually it's not, since I refuse to pledge allegiance to an ugly piece of cloth (i.e. the American Flag). I mean seriously couldn't we have designed a more colourful and design-ful flag. The Stars and Stripes are BORING. Perhaps a bit more spontaneity, and a splash of colour, and a few sickles and hammers :p . The original flag was better than the current one. Stars in a circle have a wee bit more pinache, but the flag in its present state needs some remodelling. And I dare you all to design a new American Flag. It will be a celebration of my return (Don't you love my humility?). I'll judge and I want to see GOOD STUFF here, no boring-ness. Be original, or just find something good off the internet. ENJOY!

The problem with old glory is not color ... its that its just too ...busy. After we change the flag can we move on and choose a new national anthem? I'm a good singer but that thing is a challenge. And the whole thing about a war we didn't even, technically, win.

And you are right. the pretexts for the American Revolution were all bogus. Not that I'm complaining mind you. I like being an American and don't regret independence in the least... but we did overthrow our rightful sovereign under whose rule we were getting a pretty cushy deal.

Oh yes, by all means change the whole nation. I just want to see a fire of creativity. Blow me away! BOOM! I want to see ART! And good music. I really don't like the national anthem that much, I'd rather it be America the Beautiful, that one is simpler and nicer.
BTW-I was more than just radicalized. I'm like a pacifist jihad now. BEWARE!

True, 'cause the Brits have a nice flow in their flag. I mean that is seriously an awesome flag, and it is red/white/blue. I guess I should at least give the American Flag some credit, it is more creative than most of Europe's flags, which are extremely boring. I mean how creative is three blocks of colour. (France, Italy, Ireland, Luxembourg) Germany's might be an exception, those are some pretty cool colours together. Alright-ey then.

You go boy! Back in the 30's when Congress was fixin to establish the National Anthem officially they conducted polls about what it should be. My mother went around stuffing the ballot boxes for "America the Beautiful" I am my mother's son in that regard. I think Canada has the best National Anthem of anyone. Sensible words. Singable tune

I forget who said it, perhaps Gore Vidal (my hero- now he's a radical!) who said something to the effect that 'the problem with the national anthem is that the word 'free' occurs on such a high note that it is almost impossible to reach'. :rolleyes:

Ah, the Welsh. They do have quite the amazing flag. It is a perfect contrast of green and white, with the red dragon combining the two. Impeccable.(sp?)
Tye-Dye would be awesome, but I think we can be even more psychedelic than that. I mean let's have dragons AND tye-dye AND boats AND stars AND lots of colours. But let's not get too busy.
