What are the ages of different people here on the forums? Young? Middle? Of age? How mixed? If you're willing please also say who you are when you make the age range... just neat to see who's who

I started and marked my age range... and I'm 16... although most people already know that...

Here on earth I just turned forty-four. On say Jupiter a year is "Sidereal Orbit Period (Length of Year) 11.8565 Earth years" -- NASA (http://www.nasa.gov) Therefore I wouldn't even be four on Jupiter.
. It's all relative. Time and space are variable according to Einstein.:D

Ok, I'm the oldest here - older than Methsuala. I turn the big 70 the end of July. I'm so old that I thought I had already responded to this question, but since I can't find my answer, I guess I'm just having a senior moment, or is it a senior hour?

I am 44, I like being double, same digits, although will only be for another three months or so, although I like the sound of 45 also. I don't mind the number, but feel my age more than ever in my body- it definitely feels like it has been around 44 years...... sigh....... :)

I've always looked older than my chronological age, and have a slight bias against people who look younger, prettier, more darn charming and still prepubescent. Slight bias, hell, those people really stoke my fire - I mean look at him. Come on, David, frown once in a while, get some sun, actually expose those disgustingly boyish good looks to the rigors that real people experience in the physical environment. Get a damn life, pretty boy ...

Ahem, excuse me - I have no idea where that came from.

Anyway, it may not be comparable. After all, it's just that I look a few years older, not several millenia. Perhaps, Dash, if you got your back hair permed and the mange treated, you'd look a tad younger.

I'm tan, I'm tan...I live in Florida...albinos are tan here.

But I don't lie out in the sun (usually).

I was born an old man, so my evil plan is age inversely. As an elderly man (God willing), I'll reach the height of gorgeousness...and immediately kick it.

It could happen.

Look at George Hamilton.

This may sound strange for a straight guy (hmmmm), but you'll "reach the height of gorgeousness"? Good grief, man, any more good-looking and you should be illegal. (Not that I'm a good judge of that - waffle, waffle)

Unlike George Hamilton, you probably don't have multiple scars behind your ears and missing skin that could be measured in square yards. Of course, I don't know that - just guessing.

And, as I am sure you have surmised, I'm just jealous. Of course, there advantages to having jowls ... I can store a week's worth of food in mine.

Oh brother! I have no sympathy for youngsters with beard problems. You think you have beard troubles. Just wait 'till you get to be 45 like me. Then you won't be complaining about no beard, you'll be wondering why it's white instead of it's orginal color. (Mine started going grey at age 30, so watch out!)

And everybody, I seem to be seeing some flirting with my georgous, youthful boyfriend, David. Remember, I get real ugly when I'm jealous!!! Just a warning, not a threat. :D

We DO all look younger than our numbers!!

I'm a vaguely interdeterminate age slightly over 30,:p  and not too long ago I dropped into a Pilates class. Had never tried Pilates before, but had a fairly easy time of it because of all the yoga. An older lady was nearby and she kept mumbling things about how I could just do everything naturally because I'm so young.

At the end of class she said it again. So I replied that I know plenty of women my age who are sedentary and not able to do those sorts of things. She seemed surprised and asked my age. When I told her, she gasped and stepped backward, because she had been thinking I was 18. I think she must have forgotten what 18 looks like! I do NOT look quite that young. But it's a fun story to tell! (Then again, maybe I DO look 18 upside down? :p )

I have this theory that goes: if you're happy, you will always seem to be much younger than the number that's attached to you. I've met 80 year olds who I thought were in their 50s (NOT kidding.) And my yoga teacher is turning 60 this year: he's got more flexibility (splits, feet behind head, etc) than a lot of TEENAGERS I know. The number really IS irrelevent. :agree:

Actually I do look younger than I was when I was 37.Almost ten years ago. My niece thought I had botox or something. Didn't, I guess all those deep furrows in my forehead went away along with the frown..Don't want to go into the story at 37 though. So I won't:)

Dash
05-02-2007, 01:23 PM
I too feel like a kid. But I think it's more because I've yet to do anything sensible with my life.

...the most sensible thing a person of sense can do, in my opinion. :)

Every now and then, mention of my age elicits a dramatic gasp. I'm always torn between 1) satisfaction that I look younger, and b) dismay at the thought of what they must think of me after the revelation.

Very creative way to look at your age, Britt. I must say, I feel a little bit of satisfaction for my age range, since we seem to be showing a pretty sizable lead in the poll........ I hardly ever think of the number much, in reality, because I often feel like I am in my twenties, even some days like I am in my teens (and I do at times feel like a nine year old just like my kid!).......:) :) :)

God love you.

I bet we all (us older types) use moisturizer and have some fun. (Use your imagination young man) That has a way of keeping everything flowing- and I really do think it's a matter of keeping the energy flowing. Zerbie gal....you are right on sister.

I went through my 20's looking like I was in my teens (I have pictures of myself teaching HS and don't look any older than the kids  ). Though at 48, I feel as though I'm catching up.

You know, Mae West said it had everything to do with lighting. ;) A girl has to stay away from that awful 'down' lighting. It gives one bags. And they used to line lampshades with pink silk (think pink spot). Very flattering.

And candlelight makes everyone glow.

Ah...tricks of the trade.
