It sure is nice to find out that there are Christians like myself who happen
also to be gay. I wish I could say that I have always been comfortable in saying that, but that would be untrue. I just finished reading Mel White's book: STRANGER AT THE GATE, and though I cried through a lot of it as
it mirrored my life in so many ways, I am glad I read it and can now say
out loud that I Love the Lord, He Loves ME, and HE knows I am gay!!

glad to have you aboard! Nice to have another Minnesotan in the flock. BruceChris lives in MPLS. and my family and I spent 10 wonderful years in St Paul.

Yes, there will be LOTS AND LOTS of us gay people gathered around the throne tossing our crowns into the glassy sea on the great day. Too bad Jim Dobson and Pat and Jerry won't be there to see us !!! ;)

And we'll be way too spiritually mature at that point to gloat! Oh well.

You are taking a giant leap into connecting with unconditional love of self! I never tire of hearing affirmation! You have recognized that your God-given Gay soul is a gift. Honor Him by living true to the nature He gave You.

When you love yourself unconditionally the unconditional love of others comes with no effort. It just flows because its God's will for you to love!

Hi Mike, welcome to the Soulforce forums! Glad you found your way here. There is much to discuss!!

Stranger at the Gate really helped me too. I had already accepted myself and started coming out, but it helped give me more courage to love my life out and proud. Mel is an amazing man, and he has touched so many lives!

Glad you are here, hope you stay around and share more of yourself! :D :rainbow:

Mike,

Welcome to SoulForce. You have found a wonderful place to live and learn. There are a great number of people here that are just so awesome. I can attest to that from personal experience. A great number of people here helped me to come out to my family. It was through support and encouragement that I found the will inside to get everything out in the open.

I have learned a great deal from here. Not only just about being gay and a Christian, but about what is going on in the world and how it is going to affect the GLBT community. We are all a big family here and I for one am glad that you found Mels book and came here. I to read it and found the same parallels in my life. Isnt it strange to see that we are all truly the same?! We all go through the same struggles as the next person. So we need to become leaders and help those coming up after us with our knowledge and experiences. That is where I found the most help in coming out. Just from listening to others tell their stories.

Anyway, welcome and check out the forums. There is a lot of great stuff in there. Jump in when you feel like it. Ask questions, make comments, just become part of this wonderful family that is here.

Love in Christ,
Scott
