Vegas Red

Hey all! I'm Vegas Red, 41, male, live in Las Vegas....oh, wait...this isn't the personals is it? Oops....:p
Ok....well, I'm still 41, male, live in Vegas and have been coming around to the Soulforce site looking here and there the past few weeks until I found this wonderful forum. I'm a former Catholic, now Apostolic Christian, and I have over the years rejected all man made doctrines and most Christian practices. I live by the simple belief of Jesus as Lord and Savior, Holy Spirit as my guide (Acts 1 and 2), and to try to live the two of the greatest commandments of loving God and others. I believe the Bible is inspired (not literal) and firmly believe that the Holy Spirit is first and foremost the guide to a Christian life. I hold the Bible to be second. The Bible should never trump the work of the Holy Spirit. That would be idolatry.
I haven't been to church since I left in the early 90's but still hold firm to my belief in Jesus. I must admit I do miss the Holy Eucharist/Mass and may just join an Old Catholic Rite Church that accepts me as an out gay man. Not sure I could ever again be a Roman Catholic.
Any questions you may have for me please ask away. I promise I won't bite. Much. ;)
