Hello-I am a native of Baltimore, MD, and am a martial arts instructor since 1989. In that capacity I have been able to "mentor" youth, and am particularly proud of my one young man, in my class since he was 10, and graduates this month from the Naval Academy. I have attempted to work for change within my own denomination on a one on one basis.
As a Christian, albeit not a great one, I was becoming tired of feeling I was the only one out there, and thus was happy to discvover your organization.
I don't "do" alone very well...Thanks. Michael

Welcome to the family Micheal. Yes I did say family. That is what I have found here a great bunch of people that I can relate to. Even though not all are Christian, I value their thoughts and insight very much. They have helped me a great deal in the past few months that I have been here. I have learned a GREAT deal about GLBT issues and have became more aware of what is happening in our community.

My uncle is a 2nd Degree black belt in ti kuan do (I think I spelled it right). Although I never learned, not for his lack of tryin got get me to, I like to watch him teach. He has gotten out of it more and more in the past few years. He is coming up on 60 and as he says, "the old bones just cant take it anymore."

Anywho, hope to see you pop into the forums. There is a lot of great info here.
