I was going to PM this, but decided it needed to be said in public.

Daniel, you can counsel me anytime. You have shown grace, sound judgment and, above all else, the capacity to love someone enough to tell the truth in as gentle a way as can be done.

There is a tendency in young or truly needy people, or in certain other specific cases, to turn on those from whom they seek help, when the help does not end up looking like the ego-stroking and delusion-reinforcing they were looking for. So be it.

I just want to make sure, since you are kind of a sloppy, sensitive sort, that you don't take the recent opinions of one person to heart. I admire the way you handled your comments, and applaud the tremendous amount of love you showed.

BTW, Zerbie, you were no slouch, either.

Next time I'm all emotionally messed up, as happens from time to time, you folk will be among those to whom I come running. Just remember, though, when I ask for help - I WANT you to blow smoke up my ass and tell me its someone else's fault - okay? None of this loving honesty stuff for me - alright?

I have tremendous faith in Daniel. He's held my hand a few times, and I've allowed him to guide me in some ways that are incredible for someone I've never even seen face to face. He truly has my trust. Daniel, if you ever have to tell me some shit I don't want to hear, you say it, and don't let me get away with striking out at you if I get pissed, k?

Daniel: I admire the balance that you seem to show here of sensitivity and peacefulness of spirit, yet directness and anger and frustration when the need arises. It was something of a shock to find this thread. There I was, snooping around on the 'who's doing what and where' page and noticed someone reading a "To Daniel" thread....who? My God....that's me! And then an odd feeling came over me after I read your posts.

Allow me to put my two cents!


I have been reading Daniel's posts and comments since joining Soulforce, and I find them direct and to the point. I am very fond of people who speak their minds even if at times my sensitivies may be shaken or hurt. Not that it does any effect on me, since I have learned to never take personal opinions personally, unlike so many overly sensitive members and even moderators did at the GCN forum I participate in before I came here! But here most members and specially moderators are soooooooo much more flexible and mature. I love all you guys and gals!! Daniel is a perfect example of the kind of maturity, directness, and sensible character that most members in this forum share alike!!
